Combitide 250 Inhaler 120 Mdi

Combitide 250 Inhaler 120 MDI is used for the regular management of asthma and severe COPD in adults who need a combination inhaler, including those not well controlled on an inhaled corticosteroid alone.

Uses of Combitide 250 Inhaler 120 MDI are:

• Asthma: Used for the regular management of asthma in people who need a combination inhaler.
• Poorly Controlled Asthma: Helps manage asthma that is not well controlled on an inhaled corticosteroid alone.
• Severe COPD: Helps relieve symptoms in people with severe COPD who have repeated flare-ups despite regular treatment.

Use Combitide 250 Inhaler as suggested below:

• Before use, ensure to shake the inhaler well.

• Position the inhaler correctly, exhale completely, and then breathe in deeply while pressing down on the canister to release the medication.

• Hold your breath for about 10 seconds after each inhalation to allow the medication to reach deep into your lungs.

• Rinse your mouth with water without swallowing after each use to reduce the risk of oropharyngeal candidiasis.

Combitide 250 Inhaler is administered via inhalation.

Combitide 250 Inhaler contains two active substances:

• Salmeterol (25 mcg): This selective, long-acting beta2-adrenoceptor agonist stimulates intracellular adenyl cyclase, causing an increase in cyclic AMP. The increase in cyclic AMP leads to the relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle and inhibition of the release of mediators of immediate hypersensitivity from cells, especially mast cells.

• Fluticasone Propionate (250 mcg): This synthetic, trifluorinated corticosteroid has potent anti-inflammatory activity. By acting on multiple cell types and mediators involved in inflammation, it reduces airway hyper-responsiveness and mucosal oedema, or swelling of the airway walls.

• Store Combitide 250 Inhaler at room temperature, ideally between 20°C to 25°C.

• Protect the medicine from direct sunlight and heat.

• Keep away from children's reach and sight.

• The canister shouldn't be punctured, broken, or burnt, even if it seems empty.

• Make sure to use the inhaler before its expiry date.
