CompositionCLOMIFINE 25 Tablet is used to help stimulate ovulation in women with anovulatory infertility, including those with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), to improve the chance of conception. It contains clomifene citrate, a selective oestrogen receptor modulator.
Clomifene works by blocking oestrogen's feedback effect on the brain, which prompts the body to release more of the hormones that stimulate the ovaries, encouraging the normal development and release of an egg during the menstrual cycle.
Take this tablet exactly as your doctor prescribes, and attend all monitoring appointments, including ultrasound scans, to check your ovarian response and support safe treatment.
Tell your doctor about any liver disease, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding or hormone-sensitive conditions before starting. Stop taking the medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you develop any visual disturbances, as treatment must not continue if this occurs, and report severe pelvic or abdominal pain promptly, as this may indicate ovarian hyperstimulation.
