Chupp Syrup is used in adults and children to treat productive coughs with mucus and airway tightness in conditions such as bronchitis, asthma, COPD, and bronchiectasis.

Chupp Syrup is taken orally.

Chupp Syrup acts on your body by way of three active ingredients:

• Bromhexine (4 mg): This mucolytic agent reduces the thickness of mucus or phlegm in your airways. It breaks down large mucus particles into smaller ones, making them less sticky and easier for tiny hair-like structures called cilia to move them out of your airways.
• Guaifenesin (50 mg): Known as an expectorant, guaifenesin increases the volume of secretions in your respiratory tract by stimulating a nerve called the vagal nerve. This added fluid thins out the mucus, lubricates your irritated airways, and helps in removing thick and sticky mucus.
• Terbutaline (1.25 mg): As a bronchodilator, terbutaline relaxes and widens your bronchial tubes (the passages that allow air to flow in and out of your lungs). It works by activating certain receptors (beta-2 receptors) in the muscles of your airways, leading to easier breathing.

Each of these ingredients works together to ease your cough and improve your breathing.
