Chloromycetin Aplicap is used for the management of acute bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye), caused by bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus or Haemophilus influenzae. It provides relief from symptoms like redness, itching, tearing, foreign body sensation, and mucopurulent discharge in the eyes, helping reduce inflammation and promoting faster healing.

To use Chloromycetin Aplicap effectively and safely, follow these instructions:

• Always wash your hands thoroughly before using this medication.
• Tilt your head backwards and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a pocket.
• To use Aplicap, cut the end with a clean instrument, position the tip of the applicap near your eye and squeeze a ribbon of ointment into the pocket.
• Close your eye gently and move it around to spread the medication.
• After usage, discard the applicap and wash your hands again.

Chloromycetin Aplicap contains chloramphenicol (1%). The mechanism of action of this active ingredient is as follows:
