Pacitane Tablet 30

Pacitane Tablet is used to manage symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders caused by certain psychiatric medicines. It helps reduce tremors, stiffness, and involuntary movements, and may enhance the effectiveness of levodopa therapy.

• Pacitane 2 tablets should be swallowed whole, and do not chew or crush the tablet.

• Pacitane 2 is a tablet dosage form. It can be taken through the oral route. 

• Pacitane 2mg tablet is an anti-cholinergic medication. It shows the action by inhibiting the action of a chemical messenger called cholinergic acid. This improves muscle control and reduces stiffness in all types of Parkinson’s disease. 
• Pacitane 2mg tablet acts on parasympathetic nerves. The action of parasympathetic nerves is seen in organs like salivary glands, smooth muscles and eyes. The effect is seen as increased saliva secretion, eye tear production, and close-radius vision.  

• Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight. 
• Keep pacitane 2mg tablet away from children. 
• Avoid storing it in extremes of temperature, i.e. freezing and temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. 
• Do not use the medicine after the expiry date has passed away.

• Maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly: Maintaining a healthy diet and exercise have shown positive effects on the prognosis of Parkinson's disease. A diet having berries, omega-3 fatty acids and green leafy vegetables have antioxidant property and will help in brain function.
• Include a diet rich in iron, folate and magnesium: These minerals and vitamins will help recover from malnutrition, which is common in Parkinson's.
• Practice yoga & Meditation: Practising yoga and meditation techniques are a good way to keep the brain and physical health at their best. These techniques ensure that the symptoms of Parkinson's, mental or physical, are reduced.
• Follow a healthy and regular pattern of sleep: As the disease itself causes disrupted sleep behaviour. Ensure a healthy and regular sleep pattern which will provide symptomatic relief. 
• Avoid smoking & alcohol consumption: Smoking and alcohol may add up to the action of pacitane 2mg tablets. So, it is best to avoid it. 

• Maintain a gap of at least two hours when taking certain medications like ketoconazole and anti-diarrhoeal medicines. It will ensure the complete absorption of Pacitane tablets. 
• Pacitane tablets cause high body temperatures due to less sweating. This side effect is more profound in hot temperature regions, so drink plenty of fluids. 
• Take special care with dental-related issues.
