Cheston Expectorant is a medicine used to relieve symptoms of wet (productive) cough in adults and children above 2 years of age. It helps clear chest congestion and improve breathing.
It contains chlorpheniramine maleate, bromhexine hydrochloride, and guaiphenesin, which together control allergy or cold symptoms like itchiness, runny nose, and sneezing, while also thinning and loosening mucus to make coughing it out easier.
Shake the bottle well before each use, and take the exact dose and duration prescribed by your doctor using a measuring cup. It can be taken with or without food.
Before taking this medicine, discuss all other medicines and supplements you are using with your doctor to avoid potential interactions. Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
