Cetapin V 0.2 Tablet 15 is used to manage blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes, helping to control both fasting and after-meal (postprandial) blood glucose. It is a combination medicine containing voglibose, an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, and metformin, a biguanide.
This medicine is used as an addition to diet and exercise, and when these alone or other diabetes medicines do not adequately control blood sugar, including in people not well controlled on metformin alone.
A balanced diet with controlled carbohydrate content at each meal, regular activity and routine blood sugar monitoring support better control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any bowel conditions or kidney problems, and about all other medicines you take. Be alert to symptoms of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), such as sweating, shakiness or confusion.
