Cefolac 100 Suspension 30ml

Cefolac 100 Suspension is used to treat various bacterial infections in children, including ear, throat, sinus, lung, urinary tract, and skin infections. It also helps manage gastrointestinal infections, typhoid fever, and genital tract infections, relieving symptoms like pain and inflammation while promoting faster recovery by targeting the bacteria causing these infections.

Cefolac 100 MG syrup should be used following the instructions provided by your physician. 

• Read the label before taking this medication. 
• To reconstitute the medication, shake the bottle well to loosen the powder. 
• Add the sterile water (supplied with the pack) to the bottle slowly till the ring mark on the bottle. Shake it well, and adjust the volume up to the ring mark. 
• The reconstituted medication should be consumed within seven days. Any extra portion left should be thrown away.

Cefolac 100 MG syrup should be taken orally. 

• Cefolac 100 mg syrup contains cefixime, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Its pharmacological mechanism of action involves inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis by targeting the enzyme transpeptidase or penicillin-binding protein (PBP). Cefixime binds to PBPs, preventing the cross-linking of peptidoglycan chains in the bacterial cell wall. This disruption weakens the cell wall, leading to bacterial cell death. 
• Cefixime exhibits broad-spectrum activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including streptococcus pneumoniae, haemophilus influenzae, moraxella catarrhalis, and enterobacteriaceae.

• Store Cefolac 100 syrup at room temperature (15-25ºC).
• Please protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Cefolac 100 syrup away from children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date has passed.

• Consume foods high in fibre, such as whole grains, legumes, berries, broccoli, peas, and bananas.
• Antibiotics may disrupt the beneficial bacteria in the stomach that aid digestion. As a result, probiotic-rich foods such as yoghurt/curd and buttermilk are recommended.
• Eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals to enhance your immune system. Avoid foods high in fats, sugar, and salt.
• Wash your hands frequently to maintain excellent personal hygiene to prevent spreading infections.
