Cardivas CR 10 Tablet is used to control high blood pressure (hypertension). It is a single-ingredient beta-blocker containing carvedilol in a controlled-release form.
It is also used for chest pain (angina) and for the long-term management of stable chronic heart failure in adults. Take it with food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and swallow it whole. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a dangerous rise in blood pressure or worsen heart symptoms.
Cut down on salt by limiting pickles, papad and packaged snacks, stay active as your doctor advises, keep a healthy weight and quit smoking.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma, severe COPD, a very slow heart rate, liver problems or uncontrolled heart failure, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report severe dizziness, an unusually slow pulse, marked breathlessness or ankle swelling straight away. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
