Budecort 1 mg Respules are used for the long-term control of asthma in adults and children. Used regularly, they help control wheeze, breathlessness and chest tightness and reduce flare-ups. They are a preventer, not for the immediate relief of sudden breathlessness.
They contain budesonide, an inhaled corticosteroid, in a liquid form for use with a nebuliser. It works by reducing inflammation in the airways, which helps keep them open.
Use them at the same time each day as prescribed. Rinse your mouth and gargle with water after each session, then spit it out, to prevent oral thrush. Do not stop without medical advice.
Tell your doctor about any tuberculosis, viral respiratory infection or liver disease before use. Always keep a separate reliever for sudden attacks.
