Broncofil Capsule 10

Broncofil Capsule 10 is used to manage respiratory conditions like COPD, bronchial asthma, and bronchitis. It helps control symptoms such as chest tightness, difficulty breathing, and wheezing, improving overall respiratory function and quality of life.

Follow these instructions when taking Broncofil Capsule 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or break it.
• It is best to take this medication with meals.
• Do not modify the dose without consulting your doctor.

Broncofil Capsule 10 is taken orally.

Broncofil Capsule 10 contains acebrophylline (100 mg). The mechanisms of action of this medication include:

• Bronchodilation: This medicine helps relax the smooth muscles in your airways—your bronchi and bronchioles—making them wider. This allows more air to move in and out of your lungs, making it easier for you to breathe.
• Mucolysis: As a mucolytic agent, acebrophylline thins and loosens thick mucus in your respiratory tract. By making it easier for you to cough up this phlegm, it reduces congestion and improves airflow.
• Anti-inflammation: Acebrophylline also has anti-inflammatory properties. It inhibits the release of chemicals like leukotrienes and cytokines that cause inflammation in the respiratory tract. This helps decrease swelling and narrowing of the airways, making it easier for you to breathe.

• Store Broncofil Capsule 10 in a cool, dry place where the temperature is below 30°C.
• Protect this medicine from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep it out of sight and reach of children.

• If you have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), bronchitis, or asthma, avoid exposure to pollutants like tobacco smoke, dust, and fumes which can worsen your symptoms. Staying in cleaner environments will help manage your condition better while taking Broncofil Capsule 10.
• Regular gentle exercises such as walking or swimming can improve lung function. Remember to consult your doctor before starting any new exercise programme.
