Aphyren Capsule 10 is a combination medicine used to manage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and bronchial asthma in adults. It relaxes the smooth muscles of the airways and thins bronchial secretions, helping to clear mucus, ease breathlessness, and reduce wheezing.
It contains ambroxol and doxofylline. Swallow the capsule whole as prescribed by your doctor, usually after meals. Do not chew or crush the capsule. Continue taking it regularly even if your breathing improves. Do not stop taking the medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.
Avoid exposure to respiratory irritants such as cigarette smoke, dust, and chemical fumes. Staying well hydrated by drinking enough water helps keep airway secretions soft and easier to clear.
Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have heart disease, liver or kidney impairment, severe peptic ulcer disease, or high blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor if you experience a fast or irregular heartbeat, severe nausea, or marked restlessness.
