Bozetan 125 MG Tablet 10

Bozetan 125 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension

• Improving exercise capacity in PAH patients

• Delaying the progression of pulmonary arterial hypertension

• Enhancing quality of life in PAH patients

• Managing high blood pressure in the lung arteries

• Prevention of new digital ulcers

• Management of systemic sclerosis with ongoing ulcer disease

• Increasing oxygenated blood supply to the lungs

Follow these instructions while taking Bozetan 125 MG Tablet 10:

• Take the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Continue taking the medicine for as long as your doctor recommends.

• Never stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor.

Bozetan 125 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Bozetan 125 MG Tablet 10 contains bosentan (125 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Endothelin Receptor Antagonism: Bosentan blocks the action of endothelin, a natural substance that causes blood vessels to narrow and constrict, at both ETA and ETB receptors in the body.

• Blood Vessel Relaxation: By blocking endothelin receptors, bosentan helps relax and widen the blood vessels in the lungs, reducing the resistance to blood flow.

• Pulmonary Vascular Resistance Reduction: This relaxation of blood vessels decreases the pressure in the pulmonary arteries, allowing blood to flow more easily through the lungs.

• Improved Oxygenation: With better blood flow through the lungs, more oxygen can be supplied to the body, helping to relieve the symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension.

• Reduction of Fibrosis Markers: Long-term use may help reduce markers of pulmonary fibrosis, such as collagen deposition in lung tissues.

• Store Bozetan 125 MG Tablet 10 below 25°C, in a cool and dry place.

• Keep away from direct light, heat, and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Keep out of reach and sight of children.

• Check the expiry date before use and discard any expired tablets.

• Reduce salt intake in your diet as this can help manage fluid retention (oedema), common in pulmonary arterial hypertension.

• To maintain cardiovascular fitness, consider gentle, regular physical activity like short walks as tolerated, but avoid strenuous exercise that causes breathlessness.
