Bispec 5 Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure and certain heart problems. It works by lowering heart rate and relaxing blood vessels, reducing the risk of stroke and heart attack.

Keep these instructions in mind while taking Bispec 5 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• You can take it with or without food.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not adjust your dosage or stop taking this medicine without checking with your doctor first.

Bispec 5 Tablet is taken orally.

Bispec 5 Tablet contains solifenacin (5 mg) which acts on the body through various mechanisms:

• Muscarinic Receptor Antagonism: Solifenacin works by blocking muscarinic receptors in your body. These receptors play a significant role in transmitting signals for muscle contractions in the bladder.

• Reduction of Involuntary Contractions: By inhibiting the action of these receptors, solifenacin effectively reduces involuntary bladder contractions. This results in less frequent urges to urinate.

• Increase in Bladder Capacity: Solifenacin also aids in increasing the holding capacity of the bladder. This means that you can hold more urine for longer periods before feeling an urge to urinate.

• Keep Bispec 5 Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

• Protect this medicine from moisture and light by storing it in its original packaging.

• Ensure it is out of the reach and sight of children for their safety.

• Always check the expiry date on the package and refrain from using Bispec 5 Tablet if it has passed.

• Since Bispec 5 Tablet manages overactive bladder symptoms, drinking less liquid before bedtime can help reduce night-time bathroom trips. However, don't reduce overall fluid intake without consulting your doctor.

• Incorporate bladder-friendly foods into your diet. Certain foods such as tomatoes, citrus fruits, spicy foods or drinks with caffeine can irritate your bladder. Try to limit these in your diet to manage symptoms better.
