Bintac 150 mg Tablet 10 is used to treat and prevent conditions caused by excess stomach acid, including stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and heartburn. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing ranitidine, an H2-receptor blocker.
This medicine reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach, allowing ulcers and inflamed tissues in the stomach and intestine to heal, and helps relieve symptoms such as heartburn, indigestion and upper abdominal pain. Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, and continue for the full duration prescribed, even if your symptoms improve earlier.
Along with this medicine, lifestyle changes such as avoiding spicy and fatty foods, caffeine, alcohol and large meals close to bedtime may help reduce acid reflux and support recovery.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease or are taking any other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before use. Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or return after stopping treatment.
