B Bact Ointment is used to treat bacterial skin infections, including impetigo, infected hair follicles, and small cuts or wounds that have become infected. It helps reduce bacterial growth and promotes faster healing, providing relief from infection and inflammation.

Here's how to apply B Bact Ointment correctly:

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the ointment.

• Squeeze out a small amount of ointment onto your finger or a clean cotton swab and gently massage it into the affected skin as directed by your doctor.

• If needed, you can cover the area with sterile gauze after applying the ointment.

• Be careful to avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. In case of accidental exposure, rinse thoroughly with water.

• If you don't see any improvement in your condition after 3-5 days, stop using the ointment and consult your doctor immediately.

B Bact Ointment is applied topically.

The B Bact Ointment contains mupirocin (2%), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Inhibition of Bacterial Isoleucyl-tRNA Synthetase: Mupirocin blocks a key enzyme called bacterial isoleucyl-tRNA synthetase in your body. This enzyme is essential for the production of proteins in bacteria.

• Prevention of Protein Synthesis: By inhibiting this enzyme, mupirocin effectively prevents protein synthesis in bacteria which stops their multiplication and spread at the site of infection.

• Bacteriostatic and Bactericidal Effects: Mupirocin has a bacteriostatic effect that prevents bacteria from multiplying and at higher concentrations achieved through topical application, it has a bactericidal effect that kills them.

• Store B Bact Ointment in a cool, dry place at a temperature between 15°C and 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct light and moisture.

• Ensure the tube is tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep the ointment out of reach of children.

• Remember to always use the product before its expiry date.

• Maintaining proper hygiene is crucial when managing skin infections. Regularly washing hands, keeping wounds clean, and avoiding sharing personal items can help prevent bacterial spread.
