CompositionAztor 20 Tablet is used to improve cholesterol levels by lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides and raising HDL (good) cholesterol. It is a single-ingredient statin medicine containing atorvastatin.
Used along with diet and exercise, it helps reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke and other heart and blood vessel problems. Take it with or without food in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and continue it even when you feel well.
A diet low in saturated fat, with less fried food, ghee and full-fat dairy, along with regular exercise, a healthy weight and avoiding smoking, supports better cholesterol levels alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any liver or kidney problems and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness, or yellowing of the skin or eyes. Ask your doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
