Avas-F Tablet is used for:

• Managing high cholesterol and triglyceride levels

• Preventing heart attacks and strokes by controlling lipid profile

• Reducing the risk of blood vessel blockages

• Lowering the chance of pancreatitis caused by very high levels of fat in the blood

Here's how to take Avas-F Tablet correctly:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do NOT crush or chew it.

• It's best to take this medicine with a meal.

• Try to take your dose at the same time each day for consistent effect.

• NEVER increase the dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's crucial not to stop taking this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Avas-F Tablet is taken orally.

Avas-F Tablet contains two active ingredients that work synergistically to manage lipid levels:

• Atorvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient is referred to as an HMGCoA reductase inhibitor or a "statin". It functions by obstructing an enzyme called HMGCoA reductase necessary for producing cholesterol in the liver. This action results in a decrease in LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides, while increasing HDL (good cholesterol). Additionally, atorvastatin also curtails the production and quantity of LDL particles.

• Fenofibrate (160 mg): As a member of the "fibrate" class of medications, fenofibrate enhances the activity of an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase which disintegrates triglyceride-rich lipoproteins present in your blood. This leads to reduced levels of triglycerides and LDL, and elevated HDL. Fenofibrate also modifies the size and composition of LDL particles, making them less likely to cause atherosclerosis, a condition where plaque builds up in your arteries.

• Store Avas-F Tablet in a dry and dark place.

• Maintain an optimum temperature, not exceeding 30°C.

• Avoid exposure to excessive heat, light, and moisture.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Be sure to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Incorporate a low-fat diet: Since Avas-F Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, reducing your intake of saturated fats, trans fats, and cholesterolrich food can help manage these conditions effectively.

• Regular Exercise: Engaging in moderate physical activities such as walking, swimming or cycling for at least 30 minutes a day can help lower your bad cholesterol and raise your good cholesterol levels.
