Angiplat-2.5 Capsule is used in the long-term management and prevention of angina pectoris in adults with heart disease to improve blood flow and reduce chest discomfort.

Angiplat-2.5 Capsule contains Glyceryl Trinitrate / Nitroglycerin (2.5mg). The activity of this single-component medicine can be explained as follows:

• Vasodilation: The active ingredient, Nitroglycerin, acts as a potent vasodilator. Vasodilation refers to the widening of blood vessels, which helps enhance blood flow. This action reduces the heart's workload, making it easier for the heart to pump blood.

• Conversion to Nitric Oxide: In your body, Nitroglycerin is converted into Nitric Oxide (NO). NO is a substance that triggers the enzyme guanylate cyclase, leading to increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscle cells of your blood vessels.

• Vascular Smooth Muscle Relaxation: The increased levels of cGMP result in the relaxation of vascular smooth muscle, further contributing to the dilation of blood vessels.
