Asthalin Respiratory Solution is used to relieve bronchospasm in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including during acute asthma attacks, in adults and children aged 4 years and older. It helps ease wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness and coughing caused by narrowing of the airways.
It contains salbutamol, a fast-acting bronchodilator, and is given through a nebuliser device as prescribed. The dose and frequency depend on age, body weight and the severity of your condition.
Avoiding known asthma triggers such as smoke, dust and cold air, and following any written asthma action plan can help reduce the frequency of attacks alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or an overactive thyroid before starting. This medicine should be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding only if considered necessary by your doctor. Report a fast or irregular heartbeat, marked tremor, or worsening breathing.
