CompositionAquazide 12.5 Tablet is used in adults to manage high blood pressure and to reduce fluid build-up (oedema) caused by heart, kidney or liver conditions. It eases swelling in the limbs and lowers the strain on the heart.
It contains hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic. It works by helping the kidneys remove excess salt and water, which lowers blood pressure and reduces swelling.
Take it as prescribed, preferably in the morning to avoid waking at night to pass urine, and keep taking it even when you feel well.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems, gout or diabetes before use. Because it can lower your body salts, report severe muscle cramps, marked weakness or intense thirst; your doctor may check your blood levels.
