Amlovas-AT Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults when a single medicine is not enough. It is a combination medicine containing amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and atenolol, a beta-blocker.
This medicine also helps prevent angina (chest pain) and lower the risk of heart attack and stroke. Take it with water, with or without food, at the same time each day, in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop it suddenly, as this can cause a rapid rise in blood pressure or chest pain.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active as advised, maintaining a healthy weight, limiting alcohol and quitting smoking support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have a slow heart rate, asthma, diabetes, heart failure or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
