CompositionAmbrican 5 Tablet is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a condition of high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs, and to improve exercise capacity in adults living with this condition.
It contains ambrisentan, an endothelin receptor antagonist. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, alone or alongside other PAH medicines such as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors.
Pacing physical activity within limits advised by your doctor, keeping to a low-salt diet to help manage fluid retention, and attending regular monitoring appointments support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or have liver disease before starting, as this medicine can cause serious harm to an unborn baby and requires regular pregnancy testing in women who could become pregnant. Report swelling of the ankles or feet, unusual tiredness, or a blocked nose that does not improve.
