Alfoo Tablet is used to relieve the urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) in men. It helps improve urine flow, reduce the need to go urgently or frequently, and makes it easier to empty the bladder.
It contains alfuzosin, which belongs to a group of medicines called alpha-blockers. Take it immediately after a meal at the same time each day, as this reduces the risk of a sudden drop in blood pressure. Rise slowly from sitting or lying down to reduce dizziness.
Keeping a normal fluid intake through the day and reducing caffeine and alcohol, which can irritate the bladder, help alongside this medicine. Your doctor may monitor your blood pressure when starting treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any liver problems, severe kidney problems, or low blood pressure, and about other medicines you take, especially blood pressure medicines. Report significant dizziness or fainting. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
