• Xanthine derivatives (e.g., theophylline, aminophylline): Acebrophylline is structurally related to xanthine derivatives. Concurrent use may increase the risk of xanthine-related adverse effects such as nausea, vomiting, headache, restlessness, insomnia, tremors, palpitations, and rapid heartbeat. Close monitoring may be required.
• Beta-agonists (e.g., salbutamol, formoterol, salmeterol, terbutaline): Concurrent use may increase the likelihood of tremors, palpitations, or tachycardia.
• Diuretics (e.g., furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, torsemide): Combined use may increase the risk of hypokalaemia in susceptible patients.
• Corticosteroids (e.g., prednisolone, dexamethasone, hydrocortisone): Concurrent use may further increase the risk of hypokalaemia, particularly in patients with severe respiratory disease receiving multiple medications. Potassium monitoring may be necessary in certain cases.
