1-AL 10 Tablet contains levocetirizine (10 mg) with the following actions:

• H1-Receptor Antagonism: Levocetirizine is a potent and selective antagonist of peripheral H1-receptors. This means that it prevents histamine, a chemical messenger that triggers allergic symptoms in the body, from binding to these receptors. The result is temporary relief from the negative symptoms caused by histamine.

• Minimal Central Nervous System Effects: Unlike older antihistamines, levocetirizine does not readily cross the blood-brain barrier due to its selective nature. Therefore, it has significantly fewer effects on the central nervous system.
