Metmin A Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Control of blood sugar levels in adults

• Treatment of insulin resistance

• Managing polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS)

• Reducing oxidative stress in diabetic patients

• Improving insulin sensitivity in diabetic conditions

• Supporting metabolic health in diabetes

• Addressing hyperandrogenism in PCOS

Follow these instructions while taking Metmin A Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Maintain consistent timing for taking this medicine each day.

• Complete the full course prescribed by your doctor.

Metmin A Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Metmin A Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide, metformin reduces intestinal absorption of glucose, which means less sugar enters your bloodstream after meals. It also decreases glucose production in the liver (a process called hepatic gluconeogenesis) and improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, allowing your body to use insulin more effectively.

• Alpha Lipoic Acid (200 mg): This potent antioxidant helps neutralise harmful free radicals in your body and reduces oxidative stress. It also improves insulin sensitivity and enhances glucose uptake in muscle cells and adipose tissue (fat cells).

• Store Metmin A Tablet 10 below 25°C in a dry place.

• Keep the medicine protected from direct light and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until ready to use.

• Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Include regular physical activity (at least 30 minutes daily) to improve insulin sensitivity and help manage blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes.

• Follow a low-glycaemic diet by choosing complex carbohydrates (whole grains, vegetables) instead of simple sugars to help maintain stable blood sugar levels.
