Zycolchin Tablet is used to treat acute gout attacks and to manage familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) in adults and children, helping to relieve joint pain, swelling and inflammation caused by uric acid crystal deposition.
It contains colchicine (0.5 mg). Take it as prescribed; the dose must not be increased without medical advice.
Staying well hydrated, following dietary guidance to reduce purine-rich foods and keeping to all monitoring appointments support better gout management alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney, liver or blood problems and about all other medicines before starting, as colchicine has serious drug interactions with certain medicines, including statins and cyclosporin. Report persistent severe diarrhoea, muscle weakness or unusual numbness or tingling immediately.
