• Managing type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults

• Enhancing glycaemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes who have not achieved adequate control with metformin alone

• Providing additional glyacemic control for those already on metformin therapy

• Lowering the risk of hospitalisation due to heart failure in adults with type 2 diabetes and established cardiovascular disease or multiple cardiovascular risk factors

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or split the tablet.

• Take this medicine once daily, preferably with your morning meal.

Zucapride-M 500 Tablet is taken orally.

Zucapride-M 500 Tablet consists of the following two components:

• Dapagliflozin (10 mg): As an SGLT2 inhibitor, dapagliflozin reduces the absorption of glucose in your kidneys and lowers the renal threshold for glucose. This action leads to increased urinary glucose excretion and a subsequent decrease in blood glucose levels. This process does not depend on insulin secretion or action.

• Metformin (500 mg): Classified as a biguanide antihyperglycemic agent, metformin works by reducing the production of glucose in your liver and decreasing the intestinal absorption of glucose. Moreover, it improves insulin sensitivity by increasing peripheral glucose uptake and utilisation. This action does not stimulate insulin secretion; therefore, it does not lead to hypoglycemia.

• Store your Zucapride-M 500 Tablet under room temperature, ideally between 20°C and 25°C.

• Avoid exposure to excess heat or cold; room temperature is best.

• Keep this medicine away from light and moisture to maintain its efficacy.

• Always keep it out of the reach of children for safety reasons.
