Zifi 50 Dry Syrup is used for managing the following conditions in children:

• Upper respiratory tract infections, like pharyngitis and tonsillitis
• Lower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia, bronchitis, and sinusitis
• Urinary tract infections, which affect the kidneys, bladder, or urethra
• Otitis media, a type of middle ear infection
• Uncomplicated typhoid fever, a severe illness caused by Salmonella typhi bacteria

To give Zifi 50 Dry Syrup to your child correctly, follow these instructions:

• Reconstitute the dry syrup with sterile water according to the instructions provided on the package.
• Before every use, give the bottle a thorough shake to ensure that the medicine is distributed evenly.
• Give this medicine at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals for optimal absorption.
• The reconstituted suspension can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to 14 days.
• Always consult your doctor for specific advice on how much and how often to give this medication to your child.

Zifi 50 Dry Syrup is given orally.

Zifi 50 Dry Syrup contains cefixime (50 mg). The way it works in your child's body is as follows:

• Inhibits cell wall synthesis: Cefixime targets penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), enzymes involved in creating peptidoglycan, a key component of the bacterial cell wall.
• Causes bacterial cell lysis and death: By disrupting cell wall synthesis, cefixime leads to the breakdown or lysis of bacterial cells, causing their death. This helps get rid of the infection in your child's body.
• Stable against beta-lactamases: Cefixime remains stable in the presence of beta-lactamases produced by many bacteria. This stability allows it to maintain its broad-spectrum antibacterial activity.

• Store the Zifi 50 Dry Syrup at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.
• After reconstitution, you can store the mixture for up to 14 days.
• Always shake the mixture well before use.
• Keep the medicine out of reach of children.
