CompositionViscodyne SF Syrup is used to relieve a chesty (productive) cough in conditions such as bronchitis, asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), by loosening thick mucus and easing breathing.
It combines a mucolytic and an expectorant that thin and clear mucus with a bronchodilator that relaxes and opens the airways.
Take it as prescribed. Drinking plenty of fluids helps thin the mucus further.
Tell your doctor about any heart problems, an overactive thyroid or diabetes before use, as the bronchodilator can cause a fast heartbeat. Report marked shakiness or palpitations, and avoid smoke and other airway irritants.
