Turbovas Asp Capsule 15

Turbovas ASP Capsule is used for the following:

• Decreasing the risk of death and nonfatal stroke in patients who have previously had an ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack

• Lowering the likelihood of death and nonfatal heart attack in patients with a history of heart attack or unstable chest pain

• Reducing the possibility of heart attack and sudden death in individuals with chronic stable chest pain

• Indicated for patients who have undergone revascularization procedures such as CABG or angioplasty when aspirin is already indicated

• Managing high levels of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, ApoB, and triglycerides while increasing HDL cholesterol in individuals with primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia as part of a controlled diet

• Slowing down the progression of atherosclerosis in patients with high CRP and a history of coronary heart disease or equivalent risk.

• Take the capsule whole with a drink at least 60 minutes before a meal.

• Do not split, chew, crush or dissolve the capsule. It should be swallowed whole.

Turbovas ASP Capsule is taken orally.

Turbovas ASP Capsule contains two active ingredients:

• Aspirin (75 mg): This ingredient plays a pivotal role in reducing the risk of heart disease by inhibiting thromboxane A2, a chemical that promotes blood clot formation. Aspirin works by irreversibly blocking an enzyme called cyclooxygenase, which leads to reduced production of prostaglandins and thromboxanes.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): Classified as a statin, rosuvastatin acts as a selective and competitive inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme has a key role in converting HMG-CoA to mevalonate, a precursor to cholesterol. By inhibiting cholesterol synthesis, rosuvastatin effectively reduces LDL-C (low-density lipoprotein cholesterol), total cholesterol and triglycerides while it increases HDL-C (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol).

• Keep your Turbovas ASP Capsule at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Safeguard it from light and dampness. Do not store it in the bathroom.

• Ensure the medicine is out of reach of children.

• Use the capsule before its expiry date.

• Consider following a low-cholesterol diet. This helps manage primary hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia that Turbovas ASP Capsule is used to manage.

• Regular light exercise such as brisk walking might help improve your cardiovascular health, which is beneficial for patients using this medication. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
