Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is used for:

• Managing high blood pressure or hypertension

• Reducing the risk of strokes and heart attacks

• Preventing kidney damage related to hypertension

• Protecting kidney function in individuals with type 2 diabetes suffering from hypertension

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Try to take your dose at the same time each day for maximum benefit.

• Continuation of medicine is important, even if you feel well.

• Do not change the dose or stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor.

Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is taken orally.

Trilosar 12.5 Tablet acts through three active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This calcium channel blocker works by relaxing and widening your blood vessels. As a result, it reduces the effort required by your heart to pump blood, helping to lower your blood pressure.

• Chlorthalidone (12.5 mg): This diuretic, commonly known as a "water pill", increases your urine output, thereby reducing excess salt and water in your body. By decreasing your blood volume, it effectively lowers your blood pressure.

• Losartan (50 mg): This angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) prevents the hormone angiotensin II from narrowing your blood vessels, which would increase your blood pressure. By allowing your blood vessels to stay relaxed and open, it further helps to lower your blood pressure.

• Store Trilosar 12.5 Tablet at room temperature.

• Keep this medicine in a tightly closed container to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always keep Trilosar 12.5 Tablet out of reach of children.

• Make sure you use this medicine before the expiry date printed on the label.

• Limit your intake of salt. Too much sodium can raise your blood pressure, countering the effects of Trilosar 12.5 Tablet which is used to manage hypertension.

• Excessive alcohol can increase your blood pressure and also intensify some side effects of Trilosar 12.5 Tablet, like dizziness.
