Tribet 2 Tablet is used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when combination therapy is required.

Uses of Tribet 2 Tablet are:

• Type 2 Diabetes Control: Helps lower high blood glucose levels by improving insulin release and sensitivity.
• Long-term Complication Prevention: Reduces the risk of diabetes-related kidney damage, nerve problems, and eye issues.
• Glycaemic Support: Provides triple-action control for stable blood sugar levels throughout the day.

• Swallow the Tribet 2 Tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change your dose or take it more often than prescribed.

Tribet 2 Tablet is taken orally.

Tribet 2 Tablet contains the following components:

• Pioglitazone Hydrochloride (15 mg): It is a thiazolidinedione that improves insulin sensitivity in the body. Pioglitazone helps reduce insulin resistance and lower blood sugar levels by promoting glucose utilisation.
• Glimepiride (2 mg): It is a sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to release insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps the body to utilise glucose from the blood for energy. In people with type 2 diabetes, there is either insufficient insulin production or the body's cells become resistant to insulin's effects, leading to high blood sugar levels. Glimepiride helps to lower blood sugar levels by increasing insulin secretion from the pancreas.
• Metformin Hydrochloride (500 mg): It is a biguanide that decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity in muscle and fat cells. The body can better use insulin to transport glucose into cells, reducing blood sugar levels. Metformin also helps to lower the amount of glucose absorbed from the gut.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Tribet 2 Tablet away from children.

• Incorporate foods with low glycemic index, such as green leafy vegetables, whole grains, berries, citrus fruits, chia seeds, bitter gourd and extra virgin olive oil.
• Limit your intake of processed and high-sugar foods, which can cause spikes in blood sugar levels.
• Avoid refined sugar intake in any form. Instead, use natural sweeteners such as stevia, sugar alcohols, yacon syrup, allulose, and monk fruit sweeteners.
• Engage in regular physical activity, which can help improve insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control.
• Quit smoking, as smoking can increase the risk of complications associated with diabetes.
• Watch your sodium intake and not exceed 5 gm daily to avoid heart conditions with diabetes.
