Topamac 100 Tablet is used to control seizures in people with epilepsy and to prevent migraine headaches. It works by reducing abnormal electrical activity in the brain.
It contains topiramate, an anticonvulsant medicine. Take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment to prevent the formation of kidney stones. Continue taking it regularly, and do not stop suddenly as this can trigger additional seizures.
Adequate fluid intake and avoiding extreme warmth or overexertion are helpful measures while taking this medicine.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, eye disorders, metabolic conditions, or a history of depression. Tell your doctor immediately if you notice changes in your vision, eye pain, unusual mood changes, or persistent confusion.
