TIGERAD INJECTION 1 is a prescription glycylcycline antibiotic used to treat certain serious bacterial infections in hospital settings. It is indicated for complicated skin and soft tissue infections, complicated intra-abdominal infections, and community-acquired bacterial pneumonia caused by susceptible bacteria.
It contains tigecycline, which binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria, inhibiting protein synthesis and preventing bacterial growth.
This medicine is administered as a slow intravenous (IV) infusion over 30 to 60 minutes by a trained healthcare professional. Do not attempt to self-administer it.
Complete the full prescribed course of treatment as directed by your doctor. Tell your doctor if you have liver disease, as dose adjustment may be required in severe hepatic impairment.
