CompositionTIGATEL 80 Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attacks, strokes and cardiovascular death, particularly in high-risk patients aged 55 years and older who cannot take ACE inhibitors.
It contains telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker. Take it as prescribed, with or without food, at the same time each day, and continue even if you feel well, as high blood pressure usually causes no symptoms.
Restricting salt intake, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any kidney or liver problems before starting, and if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, as this medicine can harm the developing baby. Report swelling of the face or throat, or persistent dizziness.
