Thrombophob Gel is used to treat superficial thrombophlebitis, where blood clots cause inflammation in the veins just beneath the skin. It contains heparin, which helps reduce clot formation.
It is also useful for bruises, knocks, and muscle injuries from accidents or sport, and for conditions such as tenosynovitis (inflammation of the tissue around a tendon). It is applied to the affected area of skin as directed.
Apply the gel gently to clean, dry skin, and follow your doctor's advice on how much to use and how often.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any skin conditions or other medicines you use. Stop using it if irritation occurs, and tell your doctor if any side effects develop.
