Thrombophob-Gel is used to treat vein inflammation, blood clots near the skin, bruises, and swelling. It contains heparin to dissolve clots and benzyl nicotinate to improve blood flow. The active ingredients work together to reduce pain and swelling. Apply the gel gently on clean, dry skin as advised by your doctor for best results.

To apply Thrombophob Gel, follow these instructions:

1. Begin by cleaning the skin area where you will apply the gel.
2. Apply the gel in a thin layer onto the affected area 2 to 3 times a day.
3. Do not rub or massage the gel into your skin.
4. If you have an open wound, only apply the gel to the surrounding outer skin, not directly on the wound.

Thrombophob Gel is composed of two active substances that work together to provide relief:

• Ethanol (0.5 gm): This ingredient serves as a local anaesthetic, providing relief from pain in the affected area. Additionally, being a volatile solvent, ethanol enhances the absorption of heparin through the skin.
• Heparin (200 IU): As an anticoagulant, it prevents blood clotting by activating a substance in your body known as antithrombin III. This action reduces the formation and growth of blood clots. Furthermore, heparin increases the permeability of the vein wall which aids in reducing inflammation or swelling.
• In combination, these ingredients increase local blood flow, break down existing clots and prevent new ones from forming thereby managing inflammation effectively when massaged over the inflamed area.

1. Keep Thrombophob Gel at room temperature between 15°C and 30°C.
2. Avoid exposure to direct heat and moisture.
3. Ensure the gel tube is tightly closed when not in use.
4. Store it in a place where children cannot reach.
5. Make sure to utilise the gel before its expiry date.
