Thrombophob Gel 30gm

Thrombophob Gel 30gm is used to:

• Manage superficial venous inflammation
• Support treatment of swelling after blunt injuries such as contusions or sports injuries
• Help reduce bruising and local swelling
• Relieve tenderness and discomfort associated with superficial soft tissue injuries

Follow these instructions while using Thrombophob Gel 30gm:

• Clean and dry the affected area before applying the medicine.
• Apply a thin layer of the gel over the affected area as advised by your doctor.
• Gently massage the gel into the skin until it is absorbed.
• Wash your hands after application unless treating the hands.
• Avoid applying the medicine to open wounds, damaged skin, or weeping eczema.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes.
• Use the medicine regularly as directed by your doctor.

Thrombophob Gel 30gm contains the following components:

• Heparin (200 IU): Heparin is an anticoagulant that helps reduce clot formation in superficial blood vessels. When applied to the skin, it helps improve local circulation and reduce swelling and inflammation associated with superficial vein conditions and bruises.
• Ethanol (0.5 g): This acts primarily as a solvent and penetration enhancer in the formulation, helping improve the delivery of active ingredients through the skin and contributing to the cooling effect of the gel.

• Store below 25°C.
• Keep the tube tightly closed.
• Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date.

• Avoid excessive pressure on swollen or bruised areas.
• Apply cold compresses in the early stages of injury if advised by your doctor.
• Maintain good skin hygiene to reduce irritation or infection risk.
• Follow medical advice regarding activity or physiotherapy if required.
