Theo-Asthalin Tablet is used for the regular management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. It helps open the airways to make breathing easier and reduce symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, and breathlessness.
It contains salbutamol and theophylline, two bronchodilators. Take it regularly as prescribed, with or without food. This is a maintenance medicine and is not for immediate relief during a sudden, severe breathing attack. Do not miss doses.
Quitting smoking is the most important lifestyle step for COPD. Avoiding known asthma triggers, staying active within your limits, and keeping up with recommended vaccinations also support long-term respiratory health. Avoid large amounts of caffeine (coffee, tea, or cola), as it can increase the risk of side effects.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any heart disease, an overactive thyroid, stomach ulcers, seizures, or liver problems, and about all other medicines you take. Tell your doctor if breathing symptoms are not improving or are worsening. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
