Sylate T 500 Tablet 10 is used to manage heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia) and dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which refers to irregular, non-menopausal bleeding from the uterus. It is also effective in controlling surgical or post-surgical capillary bleeding, where small blood vessels bleed excessively after surgery. Additionally, the tablet is used to treat periventricular hemorrhage in very low birth weight infants, a condition where bleeding occurs in the brain tissues of premature babies.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

Sylate T 500 Tablet consists of the following components:

• Etamsylate (250 mg): This ingredient works on the first step of hemostasis, which prevents bleeding. It enhances platelet adhesiveness, meaning it helps platelets (blood cells that help in clotting) stick together more effectively. Further, etamsylate restores capillary resistance, strengthening the small blood vessels and reducing their tendency to bleed.

• Tranexamic Acid (500 mg): This component inhibits fibrinolysis, breaking down blood clots. Tranexamic acid is a synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine. It reversibly blocks lysine binding sites on plasminogen molecules - proteins forming plasmin that breaks down clots. As a result, plasmin cannot interact with and break down fibrin clots, stabilising these blood clots.

• Store your Sylate T 500 Tablet in a cool and dry place, ideally at room temperature.

• Keep the medicine protected from light and moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Ensure you use the tablet before its expiry date.
