Sutent 50 MG Capsule 7

Sutent 50 MG Capsule is used for the following:

• Treatment of advanced kidney cancer

• Management of metastatic renal cell carcinoma

• Therapy for gastrointestinal stromal tumours

• Treatment after imatinib therapy failure

• Management of progressive pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours

• Therapy for locally advanced, unresectable tumours (that cannot be surgically removed)

• Treatment of well-differentiated pancreatic tumours

• Management of metastatic pancreatic cancer

Follow these instructions while taking Sutent 50 MG Capsule:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Take this medicine at approximately the same time each day.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.

• Avoid changing your dosage without consulting your doctor.

• If you miss a dose and it's close to your next dose, skip the missed dose.

• Store the capsules below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Sutent 50 MG Capsule is taken orally.

Sutent 50 MG Capsule contains sunitinib (50 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Tyrosine kinase inhibition: Sunitinib blocks multiple enzymes called tyrosine kinases that are involved in cancer cell growth and division, helping to slow or stop cancer progression.

• Anti-angiogenesis effect: It prevents the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) that supply tumours with oxygen and nutrients, essentially "starving" the cancer cells.

• VEGFR blockade: Sunitinib specifically targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs), which are proteins that signal blood vessel growth to support tumours.

• PDGFR inhibition: It blocks platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFRs), which are involved in cancer cell survival and the spread of cancer to other parts of the body.

• Store Sutent 50 MG Capsule below 25°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store in the original packaging until use.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Follow local guidelines for proper disposal of unused medicine.

• Blood pressure monitoring: Since Sutent 50 MG Capsule can cause high blood pressure (hypertension), regularly check your blood pressure and maintain a low-salt diet to help manage this side effect.

• Blood sugar awareness: This medicine may lower your blood sugar levels. Eat regular, balanced meals to help maintain stable glucose levels, especially if you experience weakness or dizziness.
