Sugaray D 100/10 Tablet 15 is a combination medicine used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate blood sugar control. It is a combination medicine containing dapagliflozin, which helps the body pass extra sugar out in the urine, and sitagliptin, which helps the body release more insulin after meals, and belongs to classes of medicines called SGLT2 inhibitors and DPP-4 inhibitors.
This medicine works by helping the kidneys remove extra sugar through the urine while also increasing the hormones that raise insulin release and lower the sugar made by the liver, which helps control both fasting and after-meal blood sugar. Take it as prescribed with or without food, and continue taking it regularly even when your blood sugar readings improve.
A balanced diet with regular meals and controlled carbohydrates, regular exercise and plenty of fluids support diabetes care alongside this medicine. Avoid sugary drinks and keep to your blood sugar checks.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, low blood pressure, a history of urinary or genital infections, pancreatitis or type 1 diabetes. Seek urgent medical advice for severe stomach pain, persistent vomiting, unusual tiredness or fast breathing, which can be signs of pancreatitis or ketoacidosis, and stay well hydrated to avoid dehydration.
