Spasmonorm M Tablet 10

Spasmonorm M Tablet is used to relieve pain from muscle spasms and cramping in the abdomen and urinary tract, including menstrual cramps, kidney stones and gallbladder related pain.

Uses of Spasmonorm M Tablet are:

• Intestinal and Biliary Colic: Relieves cramping pain from spasms in the intestines and bile ducts.
• Renal and Ureteric Colic: Eases pain caused by kidney stones and urinary tract spasms.
• Dysmenorrhoea: Reduces pain and cramping during menstrual periods.

Follow these instructions while taking Spasmonorm M Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Take your medicine at even intervals throughout the day as advised by your doctor.

• To prevent an upset stomach, take Spasmonorm M Tablet with food or milk.

• Never exceed the prescribed dose or frequency of use without consulting your doctor.

Spasmonorm M Tablet is taken orally.

Spasmonorm M Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Camylofin (50 mg): This antispasmodic agent functions by relaxing the smooth muscles lining your stomach and intestines. It does this by blocking acetylcholine – a neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contractions – thereby helping to halt sudden, painful muscle spasms in your gastrointestinal tract.

• Mefenamic Acid (250 mg): As a member of NSAIDs, mefenamic acid helps to reduce inflammation, swelling and pain. It works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes COX-1 and COX-2 which produce prostaglandins that cause inflammatory symptoms. By decreasing prostaglandin synthesis, it provides relief from colic pain.

• Store your Spasmonorm M Tablet at room temperature.

• Ensure the medicine is kept in its original packaging to protect it from heat, light and moisture.

• Remember to keep Spasmonorm M Tablet out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date on the label before use.

• If you are experiencing gastrointestinal conditions like intestinal or biliary colic, eating small, regular meals might ease your discomfort. Avoid large meals and fatty foods that can trigger symptoms.

• As Spasmonorm M Tablet is also used for managing menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea), regular physical activities such as walking or yoga might help reduce pain and discomfort during your periods.
