Soranib Tablet 30

SORANIB TABLET 30 is used for the following:

• Treating advanced liver cancer

• Managing advanced kidney cancer

• Treating differentiated thyroid cancer

• Controlling cancers that cannot be surgically removed

• Slowing the growth of tumours in specific cancers

• Managing cancer that has spread to other body parts

• Therapy for cancer unresponsive to standard treatments

• Alternative treatment when other cancer medicines fail

• Controlling cancer that doesn't respond to radioactive iodine

• Targeted therapy for specific types of advanced cancers

Follow these instructions while taking SORANIB TABLET 30:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• If you have difficulty swallowing, consult your doctor for advice.

• Take at the same time each day for better results.

SORANIB TABLET 30 is taken orally.

SORANIB TABLET 30 contains sorafenib (200 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Inhibits tumour cell proliferation: Sorafenib blocks specific signals that tell cancer cells to multiply, helping to slow down the growth of cancer cells in your body.

• Prevents angiogenesis: It stops the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) that tumours need to grow, effectively cutting off the blood supply that cancer cells require to survive and spread.

• Inhibits multiple kinases: Sorafenib inhibits several protein kinases, which are enzymes that play crucial roles in cancer progression, thereby attacking cancer through multiple pathways simultaneously.

• Disrupts the cell survival pathway: The medicine interferes with various signalling pathways within cancer cells that are essential for their survival, causing them to die off rather than continue to grow and spread.

• Store SORANIB TABLET 30 at room temperature (below 30°C).

• Keep in the original packaging to protect from moisture and direct light.

• Store in a dry place away from humidity.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Avoid fried, greasy, or processed foods; instead, consume steamed, boiled, or lightly sautéed meals, with good protein intake.

• Drink plenty of water (2–2.5 L fluids/day) throughout the day. Adequate hydration will help manage hand-foot skin reaction, diarrhea, and fatigue.
