Solitral Capsule 10

Solitral Capsule 10 interacts with the following medicines:

• Other alpha blockers (e.g. doxazosin, tamsulosin): Increased risk of severe low blood pressure and fainting.
• Medicines for erectile dysfunction (e.g. sildenafil, tadalafil): May cause excessive blood pressure reduction.
• Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin): May increase alfuzosin and solifenacin levels, raising side effect risk.
• Other anticholinergic medicines (e.g. oxybutynin, tolterodine): Increased risk of dry mouth, constipation, urinary retention, and blurred vision.

Solitral Capsule 10 interacts with the following foods:

• Grapefruit juice: It may increase levels of both solifenacin and alfuzosin via CYP3A4 inhibition and should be avoided during treatment.

Solitral Capsule 10 interacts with the following conditions:

• Uncontrolled Narrow-angle glaucoma: Solifenacin may worsen eye pressure and should be avoided.
• Orthostatic hypotension: Alfuzosin may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing, particularly at the start of therapy.
• Urinary retention: Antimuscarinic effects may worsen bladder emptying.
• Gastric retention: Solitral Capsule 10 should be used with caution in patients with gastric retention, as solifenacin may further reduce gastrointestinal motility. This can worsen symptoms such as abdominal distension, constipation, or delayed gastric emptying.
• QT prolongation risk: Solitral Capsule 10 may increase the risk of QT interval prolongation, particularly in patients with existing cardiac conditions or those taking other QT-prolonging medicines. Caution is advised as solifenacin has been associated with dose-dependent QT prolongation.

Overdose may cause severe dizziness, fainting, low blood pressure, rapid heartbeat, confusion, dry mouth, or urinary retention. Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.

If a dose is missed, take it as soon as remembered. If it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose.
