CompositionRozat 10 Tablet is a medicine used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It helps slow the build-up of fatty deposits in the arteries, reducing the risk of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke, even in people with normal cholesterol who have other cardiac risk factors.
It contains rosuvastatin and belongs to a group of medicines known as statins. Take the tablet once daily with or without food, as prescribed by your doctor. Continue taking it regularly even if your cholesterol levels drop to normal, as long-term treatment protects your cardiovascular system over time.
Following a heart-healthy diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy weight, quitting smoking, and limiting alcohol intake are key steps in managing cholesterol alongside this medication.
Tell your doctor if you have a history of liver disease, kidney problems, unexplained muscle aches, or if you drink large amounts of alcohol. It is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, weakness, or dark-coloured urine.
