Revolade 25 Tablet is used to increase blood platelet counts in adults with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), severe aplastic anaemia, or hepatitis C-related thrombocytopenia. It helps reduce bleeding risk when other treatments have proven insufficient.
It contains eltrombopag, a thrombopoietin receptor agonist. Take it as prescribed on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals or dairy products. Swallow the tablet whole with water and take it at the same time each day.
Avoid taking calcium-rich foods, antacids, or iron supplements within 4 hours of taking this medicine, as they can interfere with its absorption.
Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, history of blood clots, or cataracts before starting. Regular blood tests will be conducted to monitor platelet levels and liver function. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience signs of blood clots or severe liver symptoms.
