About Razumab Injection 1

Razumab Injection is used to treat eye conditions that threaten central vision, including wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), swelling of the central retina in diabetes (diabetic macular oedema), and macular oedema from a blocked retinal vein.

It contains ranibizumab, which blocks a growth signal (VEGF). It works by stopping the abnormal, leaky blood vessels in the retina that damage vision.

It is given as an injection into the eye by an eye specialist under sterile conditions. The schedule and follow-up visits are set by your eye doctor.

Some eye redness, pain or floaters after the injection are common and usually settle within a few days. Tell your eye doctor straight away about a sudden drop in vision, increasing eye pain, or unusual sensitivity to light, which can signal a more serious problem.
