About Razumab Injection 1

Razumab 2.3mg Injection is used to treat wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic macular oedema, and macular oedema caused by retinal vein occlusion. It helps slow the progression of these conditions and reduce the risk of central vision loss.

It contains ranibizumab, a monoclonal antibody fragment that inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). By blocking VEGF, it prevents the abnormal growth and leakage of new blood vessels in the retina, which is the main cause of vision deterioration in these conditions.

This injection is administered directly into the eye (intravitreal) by a specialist ophthalmologist under sterile conditions. Regular follow-up appointments and visual monitoring are essential to assess the response to treatment. The injection schedule is determined by the treating eye doctor.
