Razo IV Injection is commonly used for:

• Short-term management of GERD, a condition where stomach acid flows back into the oesophagus.

• Controlling active duodenal ulcers, which are sores that develop on the lining of the upper part of your small intestine.

• Eradicating helicobacter pylori infection when used in combination with antibiotics.

• Managing Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition leading to overproduction of stomach acid due to growths in the pancreas.

• Preventing stress ulcers in critically ill patients, which are sores that develop in the stomach lining due to physical stress.

• The injection should be administered by a healthcare professional only.

• The injection should be administered intravenously, which means it’s injected into your vein.

• Ensure the injection is given slowly, over a span of 15 to 30 minutes.

Razo IV Injection contains rabeprazole (20 mg), which works on your body in the following ways:

• Proton pump inhibition: Rabeprazole acts by irreversibly blocking an enzyme system known as the hydrogen/potassium adenosine triphosphatase (H+/K+ ATPase), also known as the proton pump, found in the stomach lining.

• Gastric acid reduction: By inhibiting the proton pump, rabeprazole effectively reduces gastric acid secretion, which increases pH levels within your stomach and duodenum. This process helps manage acid-related disorders present in your gastrointestinal tract.

• Store Razo IV Injection at a cool temperature of 20°C to 25°C.

• Keep it protected from light and moisture.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date before use.

• If you're managing GERD with Razo IV Injection, try to avoid large meals and foods that can cause heartburn, such as fried foods, citrus fruits, and spicy foods.

• When dealing with a duodenal ulcer, limit your intake of caffeine and alcohol since they can increase stomach acidity and hinder ulcer healing.
